Biographical Info

Richard is a former software engineer who has substantial experience helping his clients patent their computer-related inventions. He has many years of experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications. Richard was a senior attorney at Pillsbury Winthrop, and has been an associate at the law firms of Banner & Witcoff and Harrity & Snyder. Included among the technological areas in which he drafted and prosecuted patent applications are: natural language spoken dialog systems, computer networking, mobile communications, satellite communications, telephone networks, computer security, speech recognition, quantum cryptography, machine vision, bioinformatics, and mechanical applications.

Before becoming an attorney, Richard worked as a software engineer for about 20 years. His former employers include IBM, U.S. Department of Defense, Amecom Division of Litton Systems, Contel Information Systems, General Electric Information Services, and Hughes Network Systems. He is an experienced software engineer in the areas of computer communication protocols, computer networking, database management systems, intelligent terminals, and real-time systems.
