L. Scott Ewart is a decorated U.S. Navy veteran having served for 9 years and was the recipient of Southwest Asia Service medal with the Bronze Star, two Joint Service Achievement Medals and a Navy Achievement Medal. Scott has 18 years of experience in information technology, 14 years of which as a senior level information technology professional. Scott has resided in Maryland since 1997.

His scope of experience in information technology is vast. As a CIO, Scott has managed an IT Division within an organization with a $200M budget with sole responsibility for all aspects of the technology strategy, implementation and day-to-day operational continuity. The organization had over 400 technology users across 22 locations and Scott was directly responsible for over 25 technology, facilities and fleet management staff members.

As the owner of ScottE Software Development, Scott is able to combine his passion and experience for information technology. Initially, in 2011 ScottE Software Development focused solely on mobile application development. In 2013, the focus of ScottE Software Development shifted to a full-service technology consulting and social media management firm.

Currently, ScottE Software provides technology and social media services for multiple Howard County businesses as well as technology services for businesses in surrounding counties. Another example of Scott’s commitment to Howard County is his recent membership to the Howard County Chamber of Commerce.
