Event Description:
June 18, 2020 marked the beginning of the online public comment period that will continue through July 24, 2020 on the Existing Conditions Report for the Parole Mobility Study of the Parole area. County Transportation and Planning Offices, in collaboration with the Baltimore Metropolitan Council, is performing the study in support of the update to the Parole Urban Design Concept Plan (PUDCP). “The Parole Town Center is one of the most important economic assets in the county,” said County Executive Steuart Pittman. “The planning decisions we make now will affect communities in and around Parole for many years to come. We have to hear from the public in order to get this right.” Mobility in the Parole area has become critical in recent years due to the vibrant planned and programmed improvement goals of the PUDCP. The Parole Mobility Study will identify improvements to meet the Parole Town Center’s future multimodal needs through a connected transportation network that supports all users, that is pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists and transit users.
